Fancy a rural ramble to see an aeroplane, steel sculptures, shearing handpieces and vintage vehicles?
Those are some of the attractions in the Marton Lions Club Shed Tour on March 16. It's a fundraiser, mainly for the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter - but some money will be kept for costs and other projects.
It's the second time the club has done a shed tour, publicist Steve Carkeek said. The first was three years ago, and they had 450 participants and enthusiastic feedback.
"We're expecting quite a lot more than that this year."
This time there are more sheds - 15 - and the day is being more widely advertised. It runs from 9am to 3pm, with registration at 8.30am at either the Marton Memorial Hall or the private Spitfire hangar to the left at Ōhakea Airforce Base.
