A person is in a serious condition in hospital after inhaling smoke at an incident in Aramoho last night.

Emergency services were called to a Flemington Rd house just before 6pm on Tuesday where a pot left on the stove had filled the house with smoke.

One person was taken to Whanganui Hospital in a serious condition, a St John spokesman said.
