A man in his 20s is in intensive care at Whanganui Hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were notified around 3.10pm that a car had struck a pedestrian along Victoria Ave.
Initially, police reported he had moderate injuries and was rushed to hospital.
A Whanganui DHB spokesman has now confirmed the man is to be transferred to Wellington Hospital today.
