Whanganui Regional Museum has re-opened in temporary premises on Ridgway St.
Museum on Ridgway will operate from 62 Ridgway St (the old post office building} for about 18 months, while earthquake strengthening and refurbishing work is carried out on the Queens Park building.
Programmes officer Riah King-Wall said Museum on Ridgway would house an exhibition called Te Matapihi.
"It encompasses a history of the museum, along with a smattering of our favourites, such as the waka. Te Matapihi is representative of the museum," Ms King-Wall said.
The popular museum shop will also be operating from Ridgway St.
