Marton woman wins $1000 a week for four years.

Marton woman wins $1000 a week for four years.

A Marton woman could 'hardly breathe' after discovering her Instant Kiwi ticket would allow her to 'live the life' for the next four years.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought her lucky Instant Kiwi ticket at New World Marton after her weekly grocery shop.

"I'd been meaning to claim a winning Lotto ticket for a while, so when I saw the Lotto counter was free, I thought I might as well pop by and claim the prize," the woman said.

Winning $40 on her Lotto ticket, the woman decided to use some of her winnings to treat herself to an Instant Kiwi ticket.

"I saw there was a 'Pick of the day' Instant Kiwi ticket that I hadn't seen before, so I thought I would give it ago," said the woman.

It wasn't until she was getting ready for work the next day that she remembered she hadn't played her Instant Kiwi ticket yet.

"I made myself a cup of coffee and sat down at the kitchen table to scratch my ticket," said the woman.

It didn't take long for the lucky winner to realise that she had matched three winning symbols.

"I quickly turned over the ticket to find out what I had won. When I saw that I had won $1,000 every week for four years, I could hardly breathe — it was so surreal," exclaimed the winner.

With her heart beating fast, the woman picked up with phone and called her partner straight away.

"He couldn't believe that I'd won such a big prize either. We buy Instant Kiwis every now and again, but never really thought that we would be lucky enough to win a big prize"

With the win starting to sink in, the woman is turning her attention as how she might spend her prize.

"$1,000 every week is certainly going to make a difference. I've been thinking about buying a campervan for a while now, and this prize means I'll be able to buy one just in time for summer."

The winning ticket was sold at New World Marton in Marton. One top prize of $1,000 every week for four years remains on the 'Live the Life' Instant Kiwi ticket.
