Whanganui fight fans are in for a treat this weekend with the card for the sixth edition of Night of Assassins all set in stone.

Talent from local gyms Assassins Muay Thai and Awa Kings are all over the stacked show at Springvale Stadium, with a Whanganui local or expat featuring in each of the 12 fights.

Castlecliff's Swade Wallace headlines the card, as he moves up in weight to fight for the NZ super light heavyweight title against Hawkes Bay Deej Edwards - held under full Muay Thai rules with five, two minute rounds.

In the co-main event, another NZ title is on the line with Awa Kings Haimona Tamati taking on the Hamilton's Kristian Karaitiana for the NZ cruiserweight title.

Organiser Kyle Gallacher said this is one of the biggest shows they have ever put on.

"Every fight on the card is featuring a Whanganui fighter. That was a massive theme for us in the build up, Whanganui versus everyone else."

Further down the card, Whanganui expat Yassin Yass will be competing in a professional Muay Thai fight and Sandon Mcmeeking from Gracie BJJ will be making his MMA debut.

Other Whanganui fighters include Denis Turia, Sean Prodger, Tuhau Williams, Kingston Hiroti, Earl-Jay Pehi and Coreylee Robertson.

Gallacher said the event goes from strength to strength each year, with all the tables on the floor sold out.

With plenty of "bangers" up and down the card, he promises a night with plenty of action and drama.

"If you've come before, you know how it is. It is so different watching fights live. The atmosphere and energy in the building is just electric."

He added Whanganui has always produced "hearty" fighters and feels they are on the brink of doing something very special in the future.

"We have a lot of really good talent. It is really powerful to have these high level fighters all on the same card."

Tickets for the grandstands are available for $20 at Fitzies Bakery & Inspire Gym. Tickets are also available at the door for $30.
