A man broke into his sister's empty property and started living there.
While there, he spray-painted the place and smashed holes in the walls.
Nicholas Kahu pleaded guilty in Whanganui District Court on a charge of burglary, wilful trespass and breaching conditions of release.
Judge David Cameron told the court some time in September 2016 Kahu smashed a window and broke into a vacant property that was owned by his sister.
There he made himself at home, inviting friends around to his new place. While he was there he tagged the walls with black spray paint and smashed holes in the walls and windows.
