If volunteering at the Masters Games was an endurance sport, Bevan Tasker would win the gold medal.
Wanganui-based Bevan has been a volunteer at the Masters Games since they first began in 1989 - and he travels to Dunedin every alternate year when the Masters Games are held there.
He's done a variety of volunteer roles at the Games and as if that doesn't keep him busy enough, he's also a Masters Games competitor, taking part in the Twilight 400 event.
In the current Games, Bevan is one member of a four-man team that helps organise the medal ceremonies.
The other members of this tight-knit team are Jim Kerr, Clyde Spooner and Lee Grant.
