A disgruntled Wanganui woman is unhappy with Wanganui's low temperature readings over the past week.
Temperature readings at 5pm for Thursday and Wednesday were 19.6C and 21.4C, despite Waiouru and Palmerston North getting readings of 28.3C and 29.9C Thursday, as well as 25.3C and 28.7C on Wednesday.
MetService meteorologist John Law said temperatures recorded in Wanganui were lower because the readings were taken at Wanganui Airport.
"Wanganui Airport is right on the coastline, which is where our temperature readings come from.
"It's not wrong, because that's what the temperature is," he said.
