"One can find material things, but there is one thing that cannot be found when it is lost — 'life'…. treat yourself well and cherish others." — Steve Gouyes
When so much wealth is held by so few. When we can rebuild ancient buildings at a huge cost which would feed thousands. When Government departments are flush with funds and people are homeless or starving or struggling for heat and warmth — something is wrong. Let me try to put this into perspective. Around me I see jewellery, watches, flash cars, huge houses — all material things. Is a $300 watch better than a $30 one which tells the same time? Or is an $80,000 car so different when it takes us to the same destination? Is a $50 bottle of wine that much different to a $15 bottle? Does a designer bag carry our things around better than a cheaper bag?
My Angels tell me that those with a lot of money seldom have joy in their lives, do not find true happiness and many die alone. Here are some of the ways to find true happiness. What if we educate our children to be happy, maybe they will know the value of things instead of the price?
Here are some thoughts. I'm working on eating my food as medicine, not my medicine as food. I see around me a move toward less processed food, I am working on that too. Home grown is best if you can, always tastes sweeter and crisper. I am sure we will see fewer medical problems in the future if these changes continue.
Sunlight, rest, exercise and diet are our best friends and lead us to feeling more confident. I think this is true. Maybe in the weeks ahead, try to do these things, weather permitting. Above all focus on learning to love unconditionally with family, friends, work mates and groups and when things get tough find that one reason to hold on to that love.
Lastly, slow down: Getting somewhere in a hurry can often mean we leave people behind. Going alone is never better than going with someone else. So, my friends, enjoy a healthy life in all life's stages and try to love the people who come into your life. They might be sent by your angels. Arohanui.
