The jury is still out on whether Daniel Bell is guilty of sexually abusing seven young girls.
After a two-and-a-half week trial in the High Court at Wanganui, the jury of seven women and five men retired on Thursday to consider the 29 charges against Bell.
He faces 10 charges of rape, three of unlawful sexual connection, and 16 of indecent assault.
He earlier pleaded guilty to one count of indecency with a girl aged 12-16, and last year pleaded guilty to three indecent assaults against a 9-year-old - a crime he now says he did not commit.
Bell said he pleaded guilty to indecent assault on the 9-year-old due to "gang pressures" and advice from his lawyer, and was out of town when the offence was supposed to have happened.
