Whanganui judokas produced podium performances at the 2019 National Judo Championships in Rotorua at the weekend with heavyweight Keightley Watson leading the charge.
Fighting out of the Wanganui Judo Club, Watson retained his +100kg senior men and open weight titles for the second year on end and his +100kg junior men and open weight titles for the third successive year.
Wanganui club coach and uncle Wayne Watson, a former multiple national champion himself, said his nephew was "beautiful to watch".
