Wanganui-based private training establishment AgChallenge is adjusting to a reduction in its Government funding.
The drop was announced to staff on October 3, and could result in job losses.
Whanganui MP Chester Borrows said the cuts resulted from the ending of Skills for Canterbury funding - extra money provided to train students in the construction skills needed to rebuild earthquake-damaged Christchurch.
That money was provided in 2011 and maintained into 2013, but the fund was now used up.
AgChallenge did send some students to help with the Christchurch rebuild.
