A positive attitude will help you succeed.Your attitude towards everything in life will have a direct impact on whether you achieve your dreams, or goals.
This week it's all about harnessing your positive attitude and taking action.

Let's use your present state of health and what it will take for you to make improvements. If you're in peak physical shape and you cannot see that any improvements are needed then well done. There's a book out there for you to read titled How to Audition for the Biggest Loser by U Win.

If you have decided your state of health needs improving, what is your attitude towards taking action? Your positive attitude to exercise will be a great start and more likely to result in you becoming active. Sometimes social pressures can have negative impacts on us. What is helpful in these situations is to have someone to exercise with and to build a network of positive influences around us.

Sometimes if we perceive exercise is going to be difficult and we might fail, we may never make a start. How often have you resisted doing something because you thought it would be hard, and found it was much easier than you thought once you got started? This is because our perceptions are usually way out of line with reality. However, it was your perceptions that controlled your actions.

Let's say you and a friend decide to join Her Fitness because you want to surround yourself with like minded people. Like you other gym members are here to improve their health, and you've heard there's a great vibe too. You have a positive attitude about your decision. Then your perceptions or second thoughts kick in.

Maybe the workout will be too hard, other people might look at you, and what if you don't know how to use the equipment? Remember, if you listen to your perceptions you will never take action.

You decide to act. You make the initial appointment for your consultation and your first workout. You breeze through it, it was much easier than you thought, everyone was helpful and encouraging and you loved the workout.

It appears that perceptions stop many people from taking action. If you've been thinking about coming in to see us then take action. We have a positive attitude towards exercise and we want you to succeed.

So in summary:
Have a positive attitude about your actions and behaviours towards exercise.
Bring others around to support you.
Believe you will be successful and that exercise is not as hard as you think.
See you soon.
