A public fireworks display will return to Whanganui with Hospice Whanganui holding a fundraising fireworks festival.
The festival will be held on September 16 at the Wanganui Racecourse with almost 5000 general admission, grandstand and corporate tickets available.
The evening will kick of at 5pm with entertainment and food and glow stick stalls culminating in a 10-minute fireworks display which will be choreographed to music.
"This is not just fireworks, this is a fireworks festival," Hospice Whanganui operations manager Sandy McDougall said.
"One of the reasons we decided to do this is because many fundraisers for charity are quite high-end events. We wanted to do something that catered to the whole community.
