Two chart-topping Kiwi children's entertainers are coming to Wanganui these school holidays.
Bestselling children's author and musician Craig Smith (The Wonky Donkey) and international children's chart topper Dean O'Brien are touring more than 30 towns and cities in September and October, including Wanganui.
Smith has sold more than one million copies of his books and CDs including more than 400,000 copies of his debut book The Wonky Donkey in New Zealand and Australia. He followed it up with two more best-selling books, Wilbee The Bumble Bee and Kaha The Kea.
O'Brien, now living in England, made the top of the UK iTunes children's album charts earlier this year with his debut album The Yes I Can Club. He was also a headliner in the Kidz Field at the Glastonbury outdoor music festival in June this year with his character Mr Yipadee.
"It's been an incredible year! To have a No1 in the charts and headline at the same festival as the Rolling Stones was humbling. To finish it off by doing a tour of so many towns across New Zealand with Mr Wonky Donkey is the icing on the cake. It's going to be a blast."
