Castlecliff Beach is littered with dangerous rubbish, says Wanganui man Potonga Neilson.
He described the rubbish, including rusted vehicles, as "disgusting". He took the Chronicle along the beach as far as the Longbeach Drive area, pointing out a rusted car body. He said more would be under the sand.
At one pile of rubbish, he lamented, "This is a very bad one ... what they've left behind will end up in the surf. Something should be done before someone gets injured.
"The council's having enough problems keeping around the surf club useable."
One pile of burned rubbish Mr Neilson found included glass bottles, cans, a photo album, spraycans and gas canisters.
