The fight to save Turakina Maori Girls' College will head to Parliament next month - in the form of a "flash haka".
Former students and supporters of the Marton college, the future of which is under a cloud, are heading there on September 10, with the haka scheduled for noon.
The Ministry of Education announced recently it was consulting on a proposal to close the 110-year-old school, as the roll had dropped and it has struggled financially.
Hemaima Eichstaedt, who is leading the protest, said the event - which would be filmed live for YouTube - would celebrate the achievements of the college.
Supporters would perform the women's haka, Ka Panapana, and a mystery celebrity would help present submissions to Education Minister Hekia Parata.
