Green Party leader James Shaw will get a first-hand look at the projects and people behind Castlecliff's rejuvenation.
Mr Shaw will be in Whanganui on Tuesday where he will tour Castlecliff in the afternoon to see what has been achieved by the Castlecliff Rejuvenation Project.
He will visit The Citadel, Clifflife church, Ivan Vostiner's gallery, the Matai St community garden and the Matipo Community Development Trust.
In the evening Mr Shaw will be speaking at Heritage House at 7.30pm where there will be live music from Hauaauru and a presentation from artist Paul Rangiwahia on his work, A Mental WOF.
Green Party Whanganui candidate Nicola Patrick said Mr Shaw's visit was a good chance to show Castlecliff as a model for regional revival.
