The Marton Junction Axemen's Club hosted its annual chop on Saturday, attracting 50 competitors and a host of spectators.
Rex Petersen claimed the club chop title, while Ian Grant won the single hand sawing and the Jack and Jill competition with his wife Hayley.
The event was held at the club's King St property where Pat Barrett once again claimed the combination championship, having won the event just about every year over the past decade.
Waitomo-based Chris Lord won the jigger, while Hoot Knowles won the veterans' chop.
The Marton club is one of the biggest and healthiest in the country, and its competition has become one of the best attended on the circuit.
