A family of three "lost everything but what they stood up in" when their Aramoho home went up in flames on Tuesday night.
A neighbour said a couple in their 40s lived at the Delhi Ave house with their 21-year-old son.
"By the time I saw it there were bangs and crashes and it was done and dusted - I can't believe how quickly houses go up," she said.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at 10.37pm, but the fire was already "well involved" when firefighters got there, fire-service area commander Bernie Rush said.
"The house has pretty much been destroyed," Mr Rush said.
