Aside from Sherriff, other high honours were achieved by spinner Joel Clark, who was selected for the Central Districts Under 17's and the NZ Maori Secondary Schoolboys XI, who played the Governor-General's XI in Wellington earlier this month.
Their Collegiate team mate Hadleigh O'Leary was a non-travelling reserve for the Central Districts Under 17's, while in girls cricket, Jemma Tan made the CD Under 15's after being one of the standouts at the Festival of Cricket.
Tan scooped all the major awards for the Anndion Lodge Wanganui Under 15's team.
Overall, it was Sherriff, Clark and O'Leary's Wanganui Under 17 squad who claimed the Team of the Year prize.
For the leading players, the Technical Winter Training Programmes will start in August 2019 in preparation for the 2019-20 season.

Saturday evening also saw the prizegiving for the Air Chathams Wanganui team as the regular local season came to a close.
Wanganui had an interesting campaign as a handful of veterans initially withdrew from the team in October after a falling out with then-coach Charlie Hartley, who departed in January.
Those senior players then came back into the team for the final Furlong Cup match after the squad's Whanganui Collegiate 1st XI players, who had filled that breech, were themselves unavailable due to an important Traditionals school fixture, given the rep season finished later than previous years.
Wanganui finished with one win from three games at the 50-over Chapple Cup tournament, along with two first-innings wins and three first-innings losses in a competitive two-day Furlong Cup campaign, which despite the upheaval was a vast improvement on the previous summer.
Those handful of players who did play most of the representative season were the leading candidates for the prizes.
Central Districts A representative Akash Gill claimed the batting prize, having scored 218 runs, while the bowling award went to Ross Kinnerley, who despite missing a couple of games still finished the leading wicket taker with 15 scalps.
Kinnerley also just edged Gill to claim the allrounders award.
The fielding prize was shared between Dominic Lock and Sam Sherriff.
The season will officially end with the annual Cricket Wanganui IPL for New Zealand's Indian cricket clubs on April 6-7.
