The Sacred Heart Girls College team will be going to the girls national finals for the Primary Schools Shield as they were dominant at the Central Districts qualifier hosted by Huntley School in Marton on Friday.
The Huntley girls team were unsuccessful in their three matches against their Taranaki and Wairarapa school opponents.
Masterton beat Huntley and Stratford, but were well beaten by Sacred Heart in their final match.
Huntley played Sacred Heart first in the Twenty20 format and were bowled out for 66, with the Taranaki girls reaching their target without losing a wicket, with one of the openers making 37 not out.
They then played Masterton, who batted first and put on 85-2, with Huntley reaching 55-5 at the end of their 20 overs.
