A woman has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after her vehicle hit the guard rails of the SH1 bridge over the Rangitikei River near Bulls.
Police were called to the scene at 10.52am on Good Friday. There were three cars involved, and the driver of one was taken away in an ambulance.
SH1 was closed for nearly an hour, but both lanes are now open. There may still be delays, and drivers are asked to take care.
