There are 72 new cases of Covid-19 in the Whanganui region today, according to the Ministry of Health. Photo / Bevan Conley

There are 72 new community cases of Covid-19 in the Whanganui region, the Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday.

Two people were in Whanganui Hospital with Covid-19, according to the ministry.

Nationally, the ministry reported 6133 community cases of Covid-19.

Throughout the country there were 377 people in hospital with Covid-19.

The ministry also reported the deaths of 23 people with Covid-19.
