In the Whanganui region, there were 160 new community cases of Covid-19 announced on Friday by the Ministry of Health.
The ministry also reported there were 15 people in Whanganui Hospital with Covid-19.
Nationally, the ministry reported 8728 new community cases of Covid-19.
Throughout the country, there were 759 cases in hospital.
The ministry also reported the deaths of 26 people with Covid-19.
