A rally and concert in Wanganui's Majestic Square today aims to educate people on fracking, seabed mining and the proposed Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement.
The 11am rally is organised by Denise Lockett and Chris Cooper, on behalf of Wanganui's Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) Community.
The group has already made a submission on the TPPA to Wanganui District Council and held a march and riverside gatherings.
One of the speakers today will be activist Greg Fullmoon, who has been travelling New Zealand on the TPPA issue.
"The underlying question is - do we want multinational corporations running our country or do we want decision-making through a participatory democracy," he said.
