The mana around the Jaguar nameplate may have diminished but whenever you get a group of these cars together you're bound to get a crowd.
And organisers of a display of visiting Jags in Whanganui this Sunday should do just that.
The cars belong to members of the Bay of Plenty Jaguar Drivers Club which is making a southern North Island tour.
Evert van Reenen, PS Waimarie manager, said club members had initially booked a trip on the historic paddle steamer and he took the opportunity to arrange for their cars to be displayed at the Riverboat centre on Sunday.
Mr van Reenen said there would be up to 18 classic, historic and modern Jaguar cars parked up.
"We've decided to continue with the vehicle display even though the Waimarie is not sailing as I know there's a lot of interest in classic and historic cars in Whanganui," he said.
