Jacob Mahon, four, and brother Samuel, three, test out the new Flying Dragons ride at the Wanganui A and P Show at the Wanganui Racecourse.
They are the sons of Mahon sideshow owner Paul Mahon, and possibly the fourth generation of Mahons to run the venture.
The new ride is called Flying Dragons and debuts in the city this weekend. Mr Mahon said he was grateful for the firm ground of the racecourse venue now that the show has moved from Springvale Park.
"It's not as high profile at the racecourse but I doubt we would have got the rides onto Springvale Park with all the rain we've had."
Another new attraction this year was a modrnised version of the haunted house called The Black Pearl. It was designed and built by sideshow staff. "Don't worry it's plenty scary still," Mr Mahon said.
