Whanganui Green Party candidate Nicola Patrick is hosting her first meet-the-candidate event this Saturday at Lucky Bar.
"I'm keen to break down the stereotypes around the Green Party by giving people a chance to get to know me," Ms Patrick said.
She said there were many assumptions about Green Partypolicy that were incorrect and she was happy to talk through people's questions.
"Too often the environment and the economy are pitched as being in conflict but there is another way. We need to look for new solutions instead of buying into trade-offs."
Ms Patrick is crowd-sourcing speech topics via her Facebook page.
