The Wanganui Chronicle is appealing for public help to identify a person who tried to break into a vehicle in the Chronicle carpark.
Wanganui Chronicle commercial sales manager Alison Hollard said that about 7am on Tuesday, October 17, a male carrying gear for breaking into a car entered the Chronicle carpark on St Hill St.
"He tried jemmying the door of our bright pink The Hits branded vehicle and when that was unsuccessful he took out a heavier item and smashed the small triangular window on the rear left of the car," Mrs Hollard said.
"It looked like he was reaching into the car for something but it's a company vehicle and we keep nothing of value in it. When the car alarm started, he took off.
"We have full surveillance at the front and back of our building so this was all captured by our CCTV cameras.
