Work on Morgan St and North Mole is expected to begin next year when stage two of the Castlecliff Rejuvenation Project gets under way.
A public meeting will be held on November 13 to update the community on where the project is at as the first stage - the development of the Rangiora St gateway to Castlecliff beach - nears completion.
The meeting will also provided information on the city to North Mole cycleway, the rejuvenation of Morgan St, the Castlecliff Beach sand study and the Whanganui District Council's Coastal Management Strategy.
"This is a great opportunity to update the community on where we are at in terms of making what they have previously asked for a reality," Castlecliff Rejuvenation Project facilitator Jamie Waugh said.
"It is likely that the work the community asked to happen for stage two - at Morgan St and the North Mole - will begin in the next financial year so we are interested in checking in with the wider public in this regard."
