Whanganui carpentry apprentices are invited to enter the New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB) Apprentice Challenge, with the chance to win a $50,000 prize pack.
The competition will be held in 18 regions throughout New Zealand on Saturday, April 21, and is open to apprentices employed by current NZCB builders or enrolled with Industry Training Association Building (ITAB). Whanganui apprentices will be part of the competition to be held in Palmerston North.
Each regional winner will receive a Makita power tool and take part in the national final in Rotorua in May, where they will compete for the Ken Read Memorial Trophy and a prize package valued at more than $50,000. All apprentices who take part in the regional competitions will receive a prize pack.
Entry forms are available at www.nzcb.nz/apprenticeships/ and must be received by March 29.
The NZCB Apprentice Challenge is held in association with the Industry Training Association Building (ITAB), with support from ITM and Apprenticeship Scholarship Trust (AST).
