Wanganui High School student Tiana Oldale came up with the favourite design for the city's bus discount card and has won a Kindle WiFi eReader sponsored by bus company Tranzit Coachlines.

The 16-year-old, who takes art at school, was presented with the eReader at a school assembly last week. Her design, in blue and green, shows typical Wanganui sights - trucks, distant mountains and a man fishing.

Horizons Regional Council transport planner Wayne Wallace said all four finalists were students at the high school.

Tiana's design will be used on the next lot of GoCards, which will be ready in about six weeks.
