Wanganui man Jeff Phillips has added Richdale Fire & Security to his diverse business portfolio.
He bought the 34-year-old Wanganui business from its founder, Ron Richdale, and took over on April 1.
Richdale Fire & Security is a one-stop-shop business that deals with building compliance.
Commercial buildings have to have annual building warrant of fitness checks to see that things such as automatic doors, fire alarms and sprinkler systems comply with the building code.
The firm checks buildings from New Plymouth to Palmerston North and across to the mountains of the central plateau, Mr Phillips said. It also tests fire extinguishers and refills gas cylinders.
