Two Brunswick School students have won themselves art supplies and $500 for their school with their poster about hearing loss.
Ten-year-olds Beatrix Mackintosh and Natasha Penn won the poster competition run by Hearing Wanganui.
Beatrix and Natasha decided to enter the competition after their class learned about how to protect their hearing from Hearing Wanganui's educator, Tracey Jones.
"This is a programme we teach in schools that's aimed at 8- to 12-year-olds. We teach about the importance of protecting your hearing, because once it's gone you don't get it back," Ms Young said.
She said the programme included lots of hands-on activities for the kids to try, including things like tuning forks.
