Firefighters were on hand quickly when a child got his leg stuck in a railing just after the fire service jubilee parade.
"A little kiddie got his leg caught in Majestic Square in the rails down there," Station Officer Shane Dudley said of the Saturday drama.
"The boys jumped to action and did what they needed to do to get him out, using the hydraulic rescue tools."
Firefighters used spreading tools to allow room for the boy - who was of primary school age - to get his leg out.
