Day one form proved winning form at the Wanganui Bowling Club's Ray White Men and Women's $5100 Classic Fours tournament at the weekend.
Sponsored with support from the Club Members' Perpetual Tournament Fund, the end result came down to top qualifiers from day one after the Sunday session was scrubbed through rain.
Convenor Bernard Anderson said Saturday play determined top and bottom qualifiers to meet on Sunday and an A and B section format.
"Unfortunately, Sunday was rained out so the A section top qualifiers from Saturday ended up winners, although the prize money was reshuffled around so that everyone got some of it. Even the teams that didn't feature got half their money back," Anderson said.
Top A section qualifiers were John Belliss' Aramoho team skipped by younger brother Peter Belliss with John at No 2, Kevin Coombe at No 3 and Keith Shultz making up the four.
