A child trapped in a laundromat washing machine in Gonville on Monday night had to be rescued by firefighters.
Anatasia Zhang of the Alma Rd Dairy, which issues keys for the laundromat, said a boy aged about 10 came into the shop and said his friend was stuck inside the washing machine.
"He told me that his friend climbed inside and asked him to shut the door and then he couldn't open it to let him out.
"I don't know how they got the door of the machine open, because they didn't have a key - all the machines are key-operated."
Fire station officer Shane Dudley said they used hand tools to open the door, and it was no problem getting the boy out.
