Keith Street School played host to about 30 White Ribbon Riders today.
The bikers arrived on large loud motorbikes, much to the excitement of the children who greeted their guests with a fierce haka.
Among those assembled to hear the riders' message were mayor Hamish McDouall and MP Chester Borrows.
Mr McDouall told the children: "These guys are role models for you all. They will tell you it's not okay to use your fists or to hit. Remember this day as you grow up, remember the great bikes and remember what today stands for."
Peter Porter, from Ohakune, told the children he and others had ridden all week talking to communities about respect, love and being nice. "Good boys," he told the children "grow up to be good men."
