Creative organisations have until the end of the month to apply for targeted Wanganui District Council funding.
The councils Creative Communities Scheme is this year offering a total of $17,000 for arts-related projects.
Debbie Kapohe, the councils arts coordinator, said the money available varied each year, and many individuals and organisations applied for the scheme.
Ms Kapohe said successful applicants last year included Whanganui Community Arts Centre Trust for a youth skate project; Airini Beautrais for a poetry event; Helen-Marie OConnell for the Tall Stories film festival, Mikaere Gardiner for mural projects, and Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Tupoho for a regional kapahaka competition.
She said applicants may have to apply more than once before they are successful.
