A Castlecliff man accused of killing a cow in Waverley will enter a plea later this month.
Jordan Kent Firmin, 26, faces charges in the Whanganui District Court of burglary, theft of an animal, and driving while suspended third or subsequent.
Firmin is said to have killed a cow valued at $2000 on May 22, intending to steal its carcass, according to a charging document.
The burglary allegation relates to unlawfully being in a farm shed.
Firmin has pleaded guilty to the driving charge but has not entered pleas to the other two charges.
