A man who tried to bite a police officer appeared in Whanganui District Court on Tuesday.
Mattise Jackson, 20, pleaded guilty before the court to one charge of disorderly behaviour and one charge of resisting police.
Prosecutor Rachel Willemsen told the court that officers arrested Jackson on March 18 at 12.38am for trying to start fights along Victoria Avenue.
A day later - at 11.10pm - police responded to a call about an incident in Ridgeway Street and found Jackson there kicking the walls outside a house and shouting and swearing at the people inside.
When officers intervened he swore at them telling them he hadn't done anything wrong.
