A boy who was concussed when he fell off a swing was one of the patients the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter took to hospital last week.
The 10-year-old Rotorua boy was in Raetihi on Saturday when he fell and suffered a serious concussion, helicopter communication manager Vanessa Richmond said.
"He was flown to Whanganui Hospital accompanied by his mother," she said.
Other missions for the rescue crew last week included a flight to Ohakune on Monday for a woman in her 40s who was suffering a medical emergency.
She was flown to Whanganui Hospital in a serious condition.
