The world's fastest growing photo printing app is set to appear in New Zealand on Monday, with Warehouse Stationary teaming up with developer Hamilton-based Macfarlane Engel and Associates (MEA) to bring the company's Printicular app to Kiwis.
Downloaders of the free app will be able to print photos directly from their phone to any of the 66 Warehouse Stationary stores in the country for same-day pickup.
MEA co-founder Gabriel Engel said the app would also have a geo-locate function, allowing users to automatically connect with the nearest store.
"It allows you to access photos, not just from your phone but also from all across your social media. The idea is you can push print anywhere, any time. The app also alerts you when your photos are ready to pick up."
He said there was also a security advantage to having physical photos, with some phone users concerned about the security of their phones and storing photos on the cloud.
