We've found a dream spot to be parked up in for summer: new Waiheke cafe The Courtyard, whose delicious food and attentive service is already impressing the island's locals.
Open all day in Oneroa, The Courtyard's menu is a mix of hard-to-beat classics and innovative dishes. For breakfast you can choose between smoothie bowls and bacon and eggs or branch out into Indo crumpets with banana maple, salted peanuts and cheese, or cauliflower rice nasi goreng.
At lunchtime, you can get on board with the poke bowl trend, choosing from toppings of tuna or tofu. If you're appetite calls for something more substantial, there's their special cheeseburger with bacon and onion jam, as well as fresh sandwiches and sharing boards of meat and cheese.
In the evenings, handmade pasta is another drawcard plus we've heard you can't go past a side of their fried brussel sprouts.
The wine list is an amazing tour through some of the world's best vineyards, so you can be sure we'll be stopping by their sunny courtyard to sip on a glass (or maybe an Aperol spritz) this summer.
