It’s a personal thing, but I like fruit at room temperature. If you would rather have it cold, refrigerate before serving. Depending on the fruit, you may like a little more sugar, or not need any.

QUICK-FIRE BOOZY BERRIES RECIPE

Serves 6-8

½ cup Cointreau

2 Tbsp caster sugar

½ cup shredded mint

800g mixed fresh berries

150ml cream, lightly whipped
  1. In a small bowl, mix the Cointreau, sugar and mint.
  2. Top the strawberries, leaving a few for decoration. Place them into a large bowl with the other berries. Half an hour before serving, toss them in the Cointreau and leave them at room temperature.
  3. Serve with lightly whipped cream.
