1. NZ Rosé Co Frosé
Prepare your Instagram: icy pink rosé was the hit of the summer in the US, and now it has arrived here. This weekend the NZ Rosé Co opens a summer pop-up on Ostro's City Terrace, offering lobster rolls and two flavours of 'frosé' from a slushy machine.

2. Wild Grace Pinot Noir Rosé 2016 $26.99
This new range out of the South Island pays tribute to the effects of New Zealand’s weather patterns on our terroir with distinctive labelling resembling the isobars on a weather map. The winery makes three varieties: sauvignon blanc, the rosé and a pinot noir; the former produced from grapes grown in the Marlborough region, and the others from Central Otago. The rosé has “notes of red summer fruits and lifted floral aromas”, “framed by vibrant acidity with a crisp dry finish”.

3. Crafters Union Grace and Delicacy Rosé 2016 $21.99
We love the pretty packaging of this label which has several varieties in its stable, from Marlborough sauvignon blanc to McLaren Vale shiraz, and comes already gift-wrapped. The rosé has a “lush, fruited palate of watermelon and strawberry”. We’re also a fan of the suggested food pairings on the outer label: in this case crab, charcuterie and paella.

4. Sileni Estates Estate Selection Ridge Pinot Noir Rosé $24.99
You’ll find aromatic strawberry and cherry flavours in this delicate rosé by Sileni Estates. Made in Hawke’s Bay, the wine comes from its grapes grown in cooler inland sub-regions, and, chief winemaker Grant Edmonds says, is delicious when served with a Mediterranean-style platter.
