NEW OPENINGS
Snö Cafe in Remuera
Fans of the popular cafe Dear Jervois in Herne Bay can now get their fix elsewhere. Its Swedish owner Therese Hawkins has opened a new spot in Remuera, this time with a touch of Scandinavia on the menu. Snö will include favourites from the Dear Jervois menu like eggs bene, smashed avocado and the rosti stack to sit alongside modern twists on Swedish classics. On the new menu is tostada with hot-smoked salmon and lemony dill cream, vege and pancetta hash with a poached egg, smorrebrod (open sandwich) with meatballs or prawns, and Swedish blueberry waffles. The bright space takes after the name which means snowflake in Swedish with soothing white walls, blue counter cabinets and polished tiles. 12 St Marks Rd, Remuera
