After successfully trialling their first pop-up store in Queenstown's international airport, Wanaka's luxury leather goods brand Common People has a permanent location, opening its first flagship store in Wanaka town centre.
The brand, founded in 2017 by Jodie Calder, found success within the niche market of New Zealand-made leather bags and accessories. The new flagship store will house not only its namesake brand but also leading international clothing and magazines.
The interior was created by the Common People team using sustainable materials, and includes a workspace for an in-house design team.
"We've been scouting for the perfect spot in Wanaka for a while now so it's exciting that it's come to fruition and we have a solid base to grow the brand," says Jodie.
Wanaka's shopping scene is ever expanding and is worth a visit when you're in the area.
